Well, the songwriting is more about where I’m at, and where the band’s at. You know, books like that are circulating around the band, and it kinda fits in with the attitude we’re in right now. There’s a lot of reflective stuff. It’s funny, the books that get passed around in the band at different times you know? Sometimes it’s all Star Wars books; other times it’s Beat writers. It’s weird. (laughs) But I felt like Visions of Gerard really reflected the feelings of the band. And I love that book, because it is so pure. I see it as being smoky. It’s this smoky, kinda wintery thing.
