We all grew up in Zion and John met Gary in high school and worked together on an independently published satirical 'magazine' for the school. They fantasized about having a band and I was messing around with recording gear and learning to play on my own. Then in 1974, we got together and worked on some crude recordings that became Heads or Tails. That was the official start of it.
