Every German band in the 6O's started with playing cover songs. At
that time we had many of clubs with live-music in Germany and the bands played
in average four hours a night the hits people liked most. By the way, many
English cover bands were on the road in Germany during that period. In the
following time the German musicians were getting tired of covering
hit-material, which was played by everybody. Like many other bands ELOY tried
to find their own identity by creating own compositions. I think, we tried to
change the society and tried to create a new way of life for our Generation.
