I just felt stronger as a songwriter, because one of the big problems with the first album is that I wasn’t comfortable writing lyrics. It’s this whole thing of wearing your heart on your sleeve and trying to do it without being dramatic. Without being too obvious. Because I really don’t like the over-dramatising of the personal problems type thing.
