Our philosophy on making music is that music should be experienced in a live setting and in a live scenario. I think that people can make a better connection when coming to a concert and taking part in the energy that exists between audience and band, than when listening in an isolated sort of setting, like listening to our music with headphones on.

Our guitarist Jake does recordings on his own. Our organ player plays in a psychedelic pop band called The Swims (?), which is kind of a 180 from An Albatross in both sound and performance. But other than that the rest of us are solely focused on this band.
