Playing live is over-rated when it comes to our genre (I think) and apart from the fact that even all-star bands sound like fucking shit on stage I'm the first one to admit that some of the members of Zavorash would be hard-pressed to perform an entire live show.
The spark that made this band came around 1996, we've got a couple of demos backing up these first releases of ours, but apart from that and a couple of compilation-songs I'm fairly sure we're still one of those unknown bands. The members are all original line-up participants except our current bass-player Gideon who, on the other hand, is a good friend of certain original members so the difference is slight. I'd say we play nihilistic black metal, none of us are really big fans of things too synthetic-sounding. We've been around long enough already to have had the experience of working with many sounds and concepts, all though the original sound of the first demo (as shitty as the quality might have been) still lingers in most people's minds as truly "Zavorash-sounding" - that thing was compared to everything from Dark Funeral, Immortal and things I've never heard of, so I really don't know what to tell you. My advice to interested parties is to check out other people's reviewes etc.
Speaking only for myself and the band as a concept, I'm a nihilist to the point where it's almost a religion - of course, you can't make that comparison but I feel pretty pationately about this Nothing since I have that doctrine to thank for always being correct in relation to idiots in arguments, for knowing my place and value in the world, and for all the intelligent and constructive scorn and hatred this truth-cult has brought me.
