We split with Roadrunner due to mutual creative differences. Overall it was a good experience that got us a lot of exposure, as well as a crash course in the music business. We had been looking for a label that we could work closely with and were more open to our input, so Rock Ridge/Sixthman seemed like a good choice.
We've never really started writing a record with any preconceived
notions; everything just seems to come together subliminally, and sometimes the songs even write themselves.
Just want to thank all our fans that have the album already for their support, and to of course tell everyone else to go out and grab a copy.
We've always been a DIY band. From the website to artwork to audio and video production to playing manager and booking agent, everyone's had they're own roles. It's the way you have to be if you want to move forward. But what sparked interest in Rock Ridge/Sixthman was our initial meeting with one of the heads of the label, Tom Derr. He has a ton of industry experience as well as a very honest attitude. It was refreshing to hear someone speak so openly in such a cutthroat business.
