We're doing European festivals and then on to Australia for a second time on this album. We were here for the Punk-o-Rama tour in March. Then we did a European tour.
I'm making our own webpage at millencolin.com. I'm a webmaster, doing some stuff for people. [Erik also designed all of Millencolin's CD covers.] It's good to keep contact with the fans. I always have my laptop with me. And I get all the fan mail. We don't have enough time to reply to everything but we try to.
If I didn't have any money and wanted songs, of course, I would go on there and download MP3 files. Personally, I'm collecting CDs. So MP3 doesn't feel for real for me. But I guess, in the future, when everyone has six-gigabyte MP3 players, of course, they're going to download it straight to their little MP3 walkmen.
That's a good question. We're just stubborn I guess and I guess we were good friends when we started the band and we also made progress as musicians and songwriters all the time which has made it interesting all the time.
Well, we had other bands before Millencolin and in those bands we all sang in Swedish and at that time we were mostly into Swedish punk bands singing in Swedish. Then almost overnight we discovered bands like Bad Religion and NOFX, those big time bands that sang in English, American bands. So it was kind of natural for us to start a band that played the same style and you know since most of the other music we listen to is American or English it feels natural to write in English because to write music you need, I need to listen to other music to get inspiration and since most of that inspiration is music in English it's very natural to write in English too.
