We never had a lot of rap artists come out of Cincinnati and it has been pretty shallow on the rap level. You know we always had a couple of guys on the rap level try to do it here and there, but none to break Cincinnati open.
We always loved Hip-Hop as it has always been in Cincinnati, you know we had some true live dancers back in the eighties and Hip-hop was more true in the Eighties here with the breaking and all that. That was what I came up around and that was how I got into Hip-hop through the break dancing.
My generation made the mistake of not leaving the city and not understanding where hip-hop came from and being around competition, you know being scared of the competition and then ending up like somebody else and missing out on opportunities that are out there as Cincinnati is not a music town and you lose a lot of opportunities by not leaving and exploring.
