Bands (and the records they make) have always been a commodity, but today it seems we are inundated. In 1988 it was hard to get signed, even to an indie label. Now anyone can declare that they have a band simply by virtue of recording a few songs at home and setting up a Myspace page. I guess we have to take the bad with the good here…
