I started playing frat parties at Cornell. I would just play four-hour shows, mostly cover songs. At first everybody would get a drink while I played my own songs, but that started to change, I liked playing music; I didn't like school. It feels really good but it doesn't really feel a whole lot different. The biggest difference is that you walk into a store and it's there but that could've been accomplished without Columbia. I just think that it's cool to have the opportunity and I'm proud of it. I think it's the best album I've done so far.
